Apple's Pages on the Mac

In this course you will learn how to create and edit a Word document, design layouts for magazines and newsletters and integrate pictures into your layouts by cropping and editing/sizing. Other page layouts such as brochures, flyers, posters, cards, invitations, business cards and more will be explored. This is a two week course.

My iMovie

Put on your Director's hat and try for Hollywood! Make movies with the user-friendly Macintosh. Learn how to edit and present your very own blockbusters! Students in this course will use Apple G4 (Mac) computers with iMovie 06. Basic Mac computer skills an asset. This course runs for three weeks.

iPhoto

This course will provide hands-on learning on a Mac with iPhoto 06. Learn how to import photos from your camera, CD, or USB and save them in an organized fashion. You will create slide shows to share with family and friends and integrate music and photos using iTunes too. This class is limited to 6 students with lots of gentle, patient instruction. It is designed for the senior user, and the novice who needs a slow pace. No digital photography experience necessary. This is a four week course.

Printmaking at The Lawrence House

Did you know that the Lawrence House is the only place in Lambton County that has two printing presses.  Come in and have a look around at the beautiful FROG studio that is a fully green studio – no harsh chemicals.  If you are interested in trying some form of printmaking be it etchings, monoprints, or linoblocks  our helpful staff can assist you make the poster, card, or  masterpiece of your choice.

Cost is only $20.00 for a 3 hour session and includes an information session on how to use the presses, and free time to avail of the print studio.
