Saturday, March 21st was an early Easter treat for those who came to learn traditional Ukranian Psyanky egg decorating. Taught by Caroline Berube, we learned wax resist technique and created some beautifully decorated eggs.

Bob Gorinac, piano

Bob Gorinac made his first public appearance at age 11, and he has been entertaining audiences ever since. Well-known in the Pt. Huron area, Bob has captivated jazz lovers across the country with his artistry and vast repertoire. His program will highlight his multifaceted piano style by weaving a variety of melodies together in an improvisational mode. Bob's spontaneous jazz versatility and his pure imagination will illuminate the path on this creative musical journey.

Tickets are available for $10 at the Lawrence House Centre for the Arts or at the door.

A Sold Out crowd packed the Walter Petryschuk Turret Room on Friday, February 28^th to hear the sounds of Spanish Guitar and watch Flamenco, the passionate dance of Spain.  This unique opportunity to witness such a vivid and powerful form of cultural expression was made possible by the Lawrence House and its sponsors and was well received by the many people in attendance.

Compãneros de Flamenco, ‘Friends of Flamenco‘ in English, consists of Dancers Michelle Millman, Holly Matthews and Musician Bill Doub, are from Michigan and travel far and wide to perform. The Lawrence House Centre for the Arts hopes to see them again next year!
