After School Art
After School Arts is a visual art program offered in communities in Lambton County for children ages six through twelve. It provides them with exposure to a variety of art experiences and materials in their local community, enabling children who may not have had that opportunity, prior to our program, to develop their artistic skills. The program is offered in the fall and in the spring running for eight weeks each session. A set arts curriculum is presented which explores drawing, painting, sculpture and printmaking, providing the basic skills and techniques for each media. Each session, however, presents different lessons, so those attending the fall session will experience new art activities if they choose to continue with the spring session. In addition, the art activities offered in 2009-10 are also different from those offered in previous years to allow past participants to return to the program. The cost for this eight week program is $80.00
