CRUDEMENTARY TALES:

FROM BLACK CREEK TO BLUEWATER
an outdoor walkabout theatrical experience

An outdoor processional play entirely based on our regional history will be presented on the grounds of The Oil Museum of Canada in historic Oil Springs this August! "Crudementary: Tales from Black Creek to Bluewater" will be presented on Friday, August 20th and Saturday, August 21st at 7:00pm.

The Lawrence House Centre for the Arts thanks its Community Partners; The Oil Museum of Canada and The County of Lambton. Without this valuable partnership this production would not be possible.

This unique production will challenge the perception of traditional theatre through directly involving the spectators, inviting them to travel with the actors and participants to different locations and scenes within the park. Imagine a cast of actors, stilt dancers, musicians, flag wavers, shadow puppetry,  colourful costumed giant puppets and bobble heads creating a joyful, celebratory mood with the audience inviting them to join in the festivities along the route. This play has been specifically written for our community, engaging local community participants and the audience in reflecting and celebrating the history and culture of Lambton County.
